
On Monday 23 of August, ENCO as partner of the project Water2Return, has attended the 59th International fair of agriculture and food – AGRA- held in Gornja Radgona, Slovenia.
This event falls under the umbrella of the Dissemination and Exploitation activities, in particular, the main purpose is to involve stakeholders in different Capacity Building Programmes according to different target groups: slaughterhouse industry, farmers and consumers.
The conference started at 10 am, held by W2R partners, covering all the main sector pf the project.
First, partenr ENCO has provided an overall introduction about the project, explaining also the benefit of EU cooperation thanks to H2020 programme. Subsequently, partenr UECBV has provided an overview on the slaughterhouses EU Market and organic fertilizers EU market potential.
External guest, Ana Ahčin, Secretary-General of GIZ Mesne, was invited to shed the light on the meat industry.
Partner ELO has provided information about the fertilizer’s quality and importance of nutrient’s recycling.
Parner ALGEN, has presented the results so far achieved of the W2R technology. Finally, Univeristy of Ljubljana, has discussed the role of algae and the biostimulants.
The conference ended with the Q&A session in an open public discussion.
AGRA has been also the occasion to show visitors, in a small scale, how the W2R technology works.
All the visitors had the chance to ask question to the stand set up by partner ALGAEN.
This event is the first one held in person since the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic.
