The CBE JU 2026 call for project proposals is officially open for submission, offering a total budget of €170.7 million across 13 topics. This funding will support the development and scale-up of competitive circular bio-based industries in Europe.
All stakeholders in the circular bio-based sector are invited to apply by 22 September 2026 at 17:00 CET.
The call is fully aligned with the CBE JU’s Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda and contributes to the European Commission’s broader vision for a competitive and sustainable EU bioeconomy.
It reflects the increasing importance of:
